IKTO: A Seaside Cocktail Bar with Happy Hour Specials in Houston

Came here the first time and I could not find it, had to drive around once. Parking can be difficult during peak hours. The place was cozy and cute. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Prompt service and attentive. We sat outside and it was great!. We came at an off-peak hours and it was relaxing. The drink prices were very reasonable. Appetizers were delicious and reasonably priced. I really liked this place, good first impression for a cozy bar.

I don’t believe I’ve ever given 5 stars in food, service, and atmosphere! IKTO excelled in all 5 areas easily. My only gripe is the parking; however, this is the Heights, so parking is rarely simple. There is plenty of easily accessible street parking if the spots in the lot allocated to the bar are not full. If you’re coming from 610 and Yale, your GPS will tell you to turn left onto Yale, right onto 11th, and then left when you head the restaurant. It is physically impossible to turn left due to the concrete barriers so you can just cross over Shepherd at the light and bust a u-turn to approach from the other way. More simple than my description is saying. As soon as you walk into the bar, you are greeted with beautiful scenery. There are flowers hanging from the ceiling, a very spacious bar, nice cushy bar stools, and an amazing selection of hard liquor. I came with 2 of my girlfriends on Tuesday, August 29th, for happy hour. Happy hour is from 4 pm to 6 pm. Drinks are 50% off. When I tell you we tried so many drinks and at least 4 of the happy hour food selections!!!!! There was not one single drink or food item we did not like. The drinks are top notch. Typically happy hour drinks can tend to be pretty mainstream and boring. These are nowhere near mainstream or boring! Every detail from the mix, the pour, the presentation, and taste was amazing. The happy hour food selections are not like typical happy hour food. You won’t find wings or pizza here and I love that for us! We had a seafood tamale, oysters, a seafood dip with crackers, and my favorite, the pork belly with guacamole! The best part was the pricing! So reasonable for the portions and taste! We will be coming back! We met the owner who was very meticulous and friendly. All of the bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Very welcoming. We each got a Moscow mule cup as a little parting gift to go. Super cute. Visit this place! You won’t regret it!

IKTO Bar is a whole vibe. This is a sophisticated craft bar that understands quality, atmosphere, and intention. The drinks are beautifully crafted, balanced, and full of flavor—not your average cocktails at all. If you go, ask for Mal. Period. He is an absolute magician behind the bar. Every cocktail he makes is top-notch, creative, and made with care. You can tell he knows his craft and takes pride in it. This is the kind of place you come to unwind, feel elevated, and enjoy a grown, refined experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Atmosphere 9/10 Really cool Ambiente and design inside. Dogs allowed! Service 8/10 Cool bartenders - but nothing over the top. Takes a bit long to get the drinks Drinks 9/10 Good cocktails. Interesting twists like a chocolate Negroni. Won’t be my fav cocktails though… Price 6/10 >$20 per drink after tax is just a little much Overall cool new spot to take out a date.

Cute little corner cocktail bar!! Met up with a friend on Saturday night for some drinks!! cocktails were amazing I got the Asian pear Martini and my friend got the hot and crazy! And the drinks were amazing. We came at a time when everyone was siting at the bar and we were the only ones at a table. Food and service was fast

Met by a couple of super talented bartenders ( Jake & Raymond) who made me feel like I was at my local home bar. They had the game on so after a long day I was glad to find a spot that I could sit back and decompress for a minute. I really enjoyed IKTO and will keep them in rotation the next time I’m in town - thanks you guys have a really great spot!

Stopped by after an early dinner on a Wednesday, so it was pretty quiet and chill. Got to chat quite a bit with our bartender Jake, his boss Daniel, and even met the owner, so I can saw we know the owner . Yucca fries and tostones were great snacks, along with tasty cocktails (Pop Star, Fluffy Bourbon Sour, and Owner's Side Car. Parking was easy, though again, it was midweek so I'd imagine tougher on weekends. Will be back!

This place looks nothing like you think it would, the outside is very deceitful. The ambiance was so chill and the details from the gold metal straws, the wallpaper, ceiling, and the velvet green and gold trim chairs were so beautiful and classy. It was my 1st time and I will return. Certain drinks are pricy though, but tasted great!
